Brekkie: Bacon and Sourdough Grilled Cheese + A Flat White

Good morning, Wriggler! Don't go bacon your heart for brekkie - embrace the irresistable powers of grilled cheese to set you up for the day.

Stretch those legs down to QSK on Quay Street, fill your tum with a morning grilled cheese and bacon sourdough treat (face it: it beats a bowl of cornflakes hands down), and get perked up for the morning with a flat white coffee made with beans roasted just outside of the 'Diff.

Wakey wakey!

Why we love Quay Street Kitchen (QSK): Another stellar foodie addition to the city centre's burgeoning indie food and drink collective, QSK has undoubtedly strengthened Quay Street and Womanby Street's claim as Cardiff's very own parallel universe of ultra-visit-worthy indie deliciousness.

Boasting a dazzling array of kaleidescopic salads, grilled cheese brunches, epiphany-inducing cake and perfectly poised coffee (roasted and shipped in from the caffeine cats at Plug Coffee out in Dinas Powys), this is a minimalist brunch-come-lunch gem that, although you've probably moseyed past a dozen times, you'll not want to miss again.

Inside, white-washed walls and a sweeping wooden lunch table (elevated, set atop yellow Skandi style stools and regularly fringed by a generous handful of hungry souls) set the stage. A perpetual tinkling of pastel-hued coffee cups fills the airwaves, the kitchen team glide purposefully from coffee grinder to salad bar and QSK's floor to ceiling brown paper menu rustles gently with every passing customer (arms loaded with salad boxes and slow-cooked meaty fixins, of course). Here, colourful home-made morsels are guaranteed and the emphasis for each and every meal is firmly placed on freshness, affordability and local sourcing - which we love.

Great service, food that is as gratifying as it is simple and an enviable city centre location: for brekkie or lunch in this part of town, you couldn't want anything more.

How to claim: Purchase through Wriggle, then arrive at QSK within the window of opportunity. Introduce yourself as a Wriggler with a smile and show your unique Wriggle code to redeem your purchase. Remember to pay for any extras you buy (their cakes are pretty spectacular...), tip accordingly and leave feedback for your chance to win £20 credit and to help our partners keep improving. Happy Wriggling!
