It's an evening of comedy from every corner, with sketch, improv, standup and character acts, all on one amazing bill in the heart of Stokes Croft.

Up the Antics is starting a year in style with an amazing lineup, in a new venue! This array of talent includes improv superstars The Committee, a mix of golden oldies and new material from Up The Antics and stand-up from two of the best Bristol stand-ups around. Book in advance as this will sell out!

The Committee are a London-based long-form improv group who specialise in character driven shows, and in being absolute legends. They gig regularly all over the country and sold-out their entire run at the 2018 Edinburgh Festival. Each a performer in their own right, they have been seen and heard on TV and radio shows for BBC, ITV, Netflix & Channel 4.

Up The Antics have been smashing it left, right and centre. After a wildly successful and critically acclaimed second Edinburgh Fringe Show “Loco-Motive” (**** EdFringeReview), their sketches have since been featured on BBC Radio Bristol, and the group regularly headline comedy events locally and further afield.

“A troupe that can be relied on to deliver laughs every minute.”

~ EdFringeReview

Becky Brunning is a comedian, writer and actor. She had a break-out role playing Lindsay Lucas in award-winning crime drama Broadchurch. Her debut hour of stand up, Beaming toured the Australian Fringe circuit and sold out most of its 2017 Edinburgh run.

Her quirky off-beat style secured her place as a finalist at the Funny Women Awards (2013) and Bath New Act of the Year (2014). She won Audio Go's national competition, Stand up and Get Heard (2014) and was a finalist for Magners New Act (2015). Her second hour, Action AntiHero is headed for Edinburgh Fringe 2019.

Current president of Bristol Revunions, this is Ted’s first time on the Antics stage and we can’t wait! He’s a one-man-band of comedy characters, and we’re sure you going to love him.

“Loving the warm-up lady”

~ Sara Cox

** And ANNA KEMP **

Taking MC duties for the evening is Anna Kemp. Back from a trip improv training at UCB in New York, you’re in safe hands when Anna takes the mic. She will guide you through proceedings with the energy and grace of a swan on whippets.
