About the {{offerTypeLabel(offer)}}

Wriggle your way over to The Station Bristol, Silver Street on the 24th May for a fantastic evening of mouthwatering food, design and creativity that'll tickle all of your senses and set your creative juices a-flowing.

Join Thread as they bring together a fantastic array of speakers for a jam-packed evening, featuring talks from creatives specialising in food design, as well as a whole host of delectable tasters from some of Bristol's finest independent food and drink businesses.

First up is the Bristol-based “food illustrator to the stars” Tom Hovey, who is best-known for his stunning illustrations of of scrumptious show-stoppers on The Great British Bake Off. Tom drew his first glazed bun way back in 2010 and hasn’t looked back since – fingers crossed there won’t be any soggy bottoms on the night… 🤞🏼🍰

Second is the fabulous Peta O'Brien – a creative powerhouse who first used precision tools in her job as an oral surgeon’s assistant, before spending several years cooking professionally. Moving from Melbourne, Australia to London in the 1980s, she discovered the world of food styling and organic model making and has since worked on diverse commissions for clients including Apple, Deliveroo, McDonalds and Mastercard.

Bompas and Parr create stunning jelly masterpieces, and are globally recognised as the leading expert in multi-sensory experience design, with crazily creative minds that make Heston Blumenthal's ideas look as dull as dishwater.

On the night, the Station will also be filled to the brim with some of Bristol's finest independent food and drink providers, including local heroes such as Psychopomp, Pizzarova, Girls who Grind Coffee, Wiper & True and Foozie. They'll be offering dreamy taster experiences to excite your tastebuds and stir your senses.
