'Martyr'

Teacher Erica White is a self-described liberal. She shops organic, rides a scooter, and is accepting of people from all walks of life. That is until she meets Benjamin. Benjamin won't do swimming at school. His teachers think he's mad, his Mum thinks he's a junkie. In a way, they're both right... Benjamin has found God and mixed sex swimming lessons offend his beliefs. Martyr explores just how far tolerance will stretch in the face of extremism.

Why we love Bristol Old Vic: The Bristol Old Vic is a cultural institution. It's the longest continuously-running theatre in the UK and following a huge redevelopment project, is now one of the most modern and comfortable with state of the art rehearsal rooms, a dramatically extended forestage and precision-engineered sightlines giving audiences an even more intimate theatrical experience. Plus their curation of plays and events is absolutely top-notch.
