The Cheese Comedy Club has booked in another triple threat comedy night, bringing the absolute top club acts in the UK to an intimate club beneath Bristol's Old City.

Be part of a special night, featuring:

Laura Lexx won the coveted Comedian's Choice award for Best Performer and smashed it on Live at the Apollo. She's one of the top club acts in the UK, was nominated as best compere in the country the past four years in a row, and her sold-out Edinburgh shows consistently hoover up more stars than a singularity.

  • "One of the most delightful performers you're ever likely to see" GQ
  • "a joy... roars of laughter" The Independent
  • "real comedic steel" The Guardian

Bethany Black's masterful sets combine personal and confessional subject matter with the craft of a joke-writer on the absolute top of her game.

Somehow Bethany manages to be both warm and dark, like an undersea vent but much more accessible. Actually, if you've ever seen the underwater ocean nature shows, you know that those things have a serious cult following, a niche audience that stay close to the source and would die without the constant issuance of heat and pure energy. That's about as good a metaphor for Bethany and her fans as we'll find, so we're sticking with it. Makes sense she's a regular at Hot Water Comedy Club in her home town of Manchester, and all over the UK.

'dark-tinged but magical' (The Guardian)

And William Stone, a one-liner dispenser who manages to sting together polished, pearly gags with a needle-sharp wit and a thread of nostalgia. Yeah...that's about right.

  • Finalist, 2018 BBC New Comedy Award.
  • "William Stone cracks me up, he's got some belting gags that I wish I'd thought of. Highly recommended" (Angela Barnes, Mock the Week/Live at the Apollo)

Here's what fellow Wrigglers had to say about The Cheese Comedy Club:

  • 'Awesome stand-up comedy, up close and personal slap bang in the centre of town.'
  • 'Great comedy venue - Wonderfully well-chosen comics'
  • 'Under-the-radar comedy night at a hidden venue - very cool. Excellent names on the bill, good value drinks, and a relaxed and fun Sunday night.'
