Lineups subject to change, but a great night is assured.

Venue is downstairs, beneath the Crown Pub. Unfortunately there is no lift.

Venue is 18+.

Another all-headliner bill at The Cheese Comedy Club, the intimate little cavern of a venue tucked beneath St. Nick's Market. It's a night of bluster and lustre, dressed in Bill Hicks' faded duster. Just look at this lineup!:

Michael Legge

Legge is a bubbling fountain of joyous rage. In his twenty-some years on the circuit, he's built a reputation as one of the best comics and comperes in the UK.

He's fresh off a smash hit Fringe run with his new show The Idiot, and his podcast Do The Right Thing (with Danielle Ward and Margaret Cabourn-Smith) is topping the charts in its seventh season.

  • 'One of the most refreshing and engaging shows of the Fringe.' ***** (Broadway Baby)
  • 'An absolute tornado of righteous anger wrapped inside a very cuddly, Northern Irish man.' Stu Goldsmith

Maisie Adam

Maisie Adam is the rarest of acts, a genuine natural who's racked up some of the UK's most prestigious accolades, having only launched her stand-up career a few dozen moons ago. She's an incredible writer and an effortless performer and storyteller.

  • So You Think You're Funny Winner, 2017
  • Best Newcomer Nominee, 2018
  • Amused Moose National Comic Award Winner
  • Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats
  • "Go see Maisie Adam now and have bragging rights for years to come" - The Herald
  • "Maisie Adam is phenomenal" - The Scotsman
  • "Effortlessly charming....a magnetic stage presence" - The Skinny

Garrett Millerick

Garrett is a force on the UK circuit, as well as a breakout at the Fringe. He's managed to follow last year's weighty, word-of-mouth hit Sunflower, with an hour of straight standup that cements his place as a top-level comic with a full set of gears. How's that for a mixed metaphor?

  • 'Someone give this man a bloody TV show.' ★★★★★ The Voice
  • ‘Wickedly funny’ ★★★★ The Times
  • ‘Stand up with an insolent twist’ ★★★★ The Scotsman

Here's what fellow Wrigglers had to say about The Cheese:

  • 'Awesome stand-up comedy, up close and personal slap bang in the centre of town.'
  • 'Great comedy venue - Wonderfully well-chosen comics'
  • 'Under-the-radar comedy night at a hidden venue - very cool. Excellent names on the bill, good value drinks, and a relaxed and fun Sunday night.'
