About the {{offerTypeLabel(offer)}}

This event is part of the 2018 Bristol Food Connections festival – a citywide celebration of the fantastic, varied and delicious food culture in our city. From the 11th - 17th June, BFC will shine a light on the diverse people, businesses and organisations that make our city's food culture so incredible. Head to the festival and embark upon a voyage of discovery and exploration, learning about all aspects of the journey of food – from field to fork.

Elizabeth David was a legendary British food and cookery writer. During the mid-twentieth century she has a huge influence on British home cooking, reinvigorating and revitalising the public's passion for cooking with her books about traditional British dishes.

At this events as part of Bristol Food Connections, you'll enjoy a mouthwatering four course dinner cooked by some of Bristol's finest chefs: Barny Haughton, Stuart Seth, and Spike Island Cafe's own, Robert Leeburn. Over the meal, you'll explore Elizabeth David's legacy in British cooking in order to look forward to the future of British cooking, as the chefs cook up some of David's most famous dishes. There will be veggie options available, too – please email spike@cookingco.co.uk when you make your booking to let them know if you're a vegetarian – otherwise they won't be able to cater for you!
