This week at your comedy local, it's Sean Morley's incredible show: Soon I Will Be Dead and My Bones Will Be Free to Wreak Havoc Upon the Earth Once More.

On All Hallows Eve, we gather to await the arrival of the Ghost Train from Sheffield. On this train will travel the mortal corpus of one Sean Morley, who will then most likely end up taking the 72 or 73 bus from Temple Meads to the Ashley Down stop, then walking two blocks to the venue.

We asked for a description of the show and received no reply. Then one day, weeks later, we found on our front step a Victorian taxidermied vole, preserved under a small glass dome. In its dusty maw was clutched a small scroll. We prized the glass from the ornate filigree base, and unspooled the brittle paper to find the following, aged note, written in iron ink (or was it blood?):

"Inside my skin is a rattling beast and when I breathe my last it will emerge. Free me from the enemy within. This is a show about fear, self-acceptance and bones."

Then there were some reviews:

  • “A feast for any comedy lover who has a taste for the strange and absurd” **** The Skinny
  • “The genius and confidence of Kitson and with the poetic linguistics of Dylan Moran. There’s something very special about Sean Morley” ****1/2 shortcom.co.uk

And on the back, the head shot you see before you.

Gentle reader, we do not know what awaits. But we do know this: It will cost £7 and the doors will be creaking open at 7:45 for a prompt summoning at 8:00.

With opening act, Mr. Spooky, who promises Gothic tales, orchestral accompaniment and *gasp!* one-liners. I know, horrifying.

Hosted as ever by your faithful spirit guide, Tony Chiotti.
