This week, How Lazy is He? have landed a last-minute legend. It's a bit of a coup, but they've got Michael Legge coming down to your comedy local. Legge is a bubbling fountain of joyous rage. In his twenty-something years on the circuit, he's built a reputation as one of the best comics and comperes in the UK.

He's a multimedia megalodon with double-barrel podcasts: Vitriola (with Robin Ince) and Do the Right Thing (with Danielle Ward, and yes, we did just mix shotgun and shark metaphors...this is serious). His Twitter presence is always on, with such greatest hits as #LetsSellThisGigOut and 'If you HAD to fuck a...' getting him well past the blue-tick horizon. He's even got a popular blog, FFS. I'm sure he used to mop it up on Usenet and IRC B in the D.

  • ‘Wonderfully, cathartically funny’ - Chortle
  • 'An absolute tornado of righteous anger wrapped inside a very cuddly, Northern Irish man.' - Stu Goldsmith

And joining Michael, it's one of How Lazy is He's absolute fave headliners from shows-gone-by, Caroline Mabey! She's a fantastic standup and sketch comedian with five Fringe shows to her name. She's a regular host at clubs around London, co-host of the Self-Renovators podcast, and one half of the comedy duo The Two Stupids, with some other guy whose name we forget.

  • 'Funny and touching and brilliant.' - The Guardian
  • 'Unlikely you'll find a show that mixes the unhinged and the fun in quite the same way.' - Chortle.

Hosted by that cranky Yank, Tony Chiotti, who promises to bring precisely one proper joke this week.

The show is upstairs. 18+. Get there at least an hour early if you want to eat some of that glorious gastropub grub.

Lineup subject to change at the whim of National Rail or swine flu, but we guarantee a great show no matter what!

Oh, and last thing: they do a cheeky little open mic afterward, so if you want to stay out late, or take a swing yourself, yes, a thousand times yes.

Important Info: The show starts right at 8. Be there when the doors open at 7:45. After the show, there's a cheeky little open mic for anyone who isn't ready for bed, or who wants to give comedy a go. As with all great comedy, the lineup will be subject to change at the last minute. Whatever happens, though, "How Lazy is He @ The Lazy Dog" guarantee a great show!
