About the {{offerTypeLabel(offer)}}

This week at your comedy local, it's another just-plain-silly lineup. You couldn't get more value for money if you had a time machine and a book of sports results. It's Bisha K Ali and Chris Betts! (What?) Yes. Yes it is.

Hailing from West London and ping-ponging between cultures has left Bisha with no choice but to stand up and laugh about her strict and strange upbringing. A storyteller, Bisha touches on topics including race, religion, science and family. Her laid-back charm, along with her ability to surprise and delight audiences took her to the Final of the 2013 Funny Women Awards within a year of her first gig.

Chris Betts’ mind is a curious place, where the philosophical meets the ridiculous. His shows are a perfect balance of incisive social satire and complete silliness. He has a style that is equal parts confident, thoughtful, ridiculous and mischievous.

Betts began his comedy career in Montreal, Canada and has since performed all across Europe and North America. He has made appearances at comedy festivals all over the world including Edinburgh Festival Fringe, SXSW and the Zulu Comedy Festival.

With local support, and your favourite Yank, who's still learning how to spell "favourite," Tony Chiotti.

Show is followed by a cheekly little open mic, if you're not afraid to stay out on a school night. Doors open at 7.30 for an 8pm start.

It's only a fiver. Upstairs.

More about Bisha, from the "experts":

“It’s a rare treat to see a comedian with a unique and instantly defined persona. Bisha already seems to know more about comedy than many veterans of the art form.” - Adam Bloom, Comedian

“Bisha has a lovely, relaxed stage presence, killer one liners and too much hair” - Viv Groskop, Comedian and Author of “I Laughed, I Cried”

“…Mellow but slick, with hilarious audience interplay” - Katie Bennett-Hall, Planet London Co-Founder

“…Original, inventive and in-your-face without being shouty. Laid-back charm…” - Maggie Tibble, Promoter (Dead Parrot Society)

And about Chris:
"A confident style... a glint of steelier edge." - Chortle

"Tremendous." - Such Small Portions
