About the {{offerTypeLabel(offer)}}

This event is part of the 2018 Bristol Food Connections festival – a citywide celebration of the fantastic, varied and delicious food culture in our city. From the 11th - 17th June, BFC will shine a light on the diverse people, businesses and organisations that make our city's food culture so incredible. Head to the festival and embark upon a voyage of discovery and exploration, learning about all aspects of the journey of food – from field to fork.

FareShare South West are celebrating 10 years of redistributing surplus food from the food industry to those in need in Bristol and the South West. Come and celebrate with them on Thursday 14th June at Easton Community Centre for a 3-course surplus community feast, using quality, in-date ingredients that would have otherwise gone to waste. There'll be live music and delicious food made by the amazing Cafe Des Amis team, and activities and speakers to get us all thinking about the food waste and hunger issues we want to tackle.

At the feast there will be choices for vegans and meat-eaters – please email phoebe@faresharesouthwest.org.uk once you've booked your ticket and let the team know which you'd prefer. Concession tickets are available for children under 12 (they are £10) each – please email alice@getawriggleon.com to arrange this. Babes in arms go free.

About FareShare & Cafe Des Amis @ Bristol Food Connections

FareShare South West are a charity who work to redistribute surplus food from the food industry to charity members across the South West. FareShare South West work with the food industry to minimise fit-for-purpose fresh, frozen and long-life food going to waste, and send this food into organisations working with the most vulnerable people in the community. Thousands of tonnes of perfectly good in-date food are wasted in the South West each year due to packaging errors, out of date promotions, discontinued lines, veg that doesn't match up up to specification, and so on. At the same time, there are over 4 million people in the UK who cannot afford a healthy diet, among them homeless and elderly people, children, refugees and people suffering mental & physical health problems. FareShare South West aims to address this imbalance by redistributing quality surplus food to groups working with vulnerable individuals in and around Bristol. Refund policy: no refunds.
