About the {{offerTypeLabel(offer)}}

Set over three weeks, you will explore three different approaches to Lino Cut Printmaking in the creative hub of Centrespace Studios, Chocolate Factory. Taught by illustrator and printmaker Victoria Willmott, you will be guided through the methods, gaining ideas and insights into this fun technique that is easy to continue in a home studio

In the first week, you will learn the basics of lino cutting, using the carving tools to cut out your image and then apply printmaking inks to produce a relief print on paper. In the second week, you will explore a monoprint approach to lino printing where you will paint with the inks onto lino to achieve one-off lively and painterly prints. For the final week of this course, you will explore a 'jigsaw' approach to lino printing where you will cut up the lino and ink up separately to assemble together to produce your designs.

This workshop is great for beginners into printmaking and those looking to expand their practice of lino print processes. Each week will be a new technique, with paper, inks and materials provided. Images and reference ideas will be available for anyone who may be stuck for an idea, but if you have your own sketches do bring them along.

Teas, coffee and biscuits provided, but feel free to bring any after-work snacks you may need to fuel your printmaking energy.

The workshop is based at Centrespace Studios, accessed through Leonard Lane just off Corn Street. Parking is restricted in the centre but is easily accessed through bus routes.

Important: this Wriggle is for 3 sessions – the first session takes place on the Tuesday 22nd October, and the other sessions are on the 29th, and 5th November. Before you book your Wriggle, please make sure you can attend all three sessions!
