Live comedy and incredible Asian street food, together in a Rugby Club. Only Mark Olver could have put together a night like this! It's all part of Belly Laughs, Olver's pop-up comedy and food spectacular, which takes place in oddball venues around Bristol in January.

Olver puts together incredible lineups of comedians from the local scene, as well as some surprise guest spots from his famous mates. You never know who will be on, but you can rest assured it will be a great show, in support of a great cause; all money raised supports Julian Trust night shelter in Bristol!

Olver sez: "North Bristol Rugby club really wanted to support Belly Laughs last year but we couldn’t make the dates work. This year we have and I’m so excited. Not only to do that venue but also because we have shipped in my one of my favourite street food specialists to come and feed us. Eatchu are already an institution in St Nicks Market and they are bringing us their Yaki Shak with amazing wok fried noodles. Comedy plus Rugby plus brilliant food. And love that we get to take Belly Laughs to this part of Bristol."

About Belly Laughs @ North Bristol Rugby Club

January is time for Belly Laughs, a series of comedy gigs around Bristol and the South West, set in independent restaurants and cafes. Belly Laughs is a showcase of Bristol's food and comedy talent. It promises unforgettable nights in intimate venues, and all proceeds go to support Julian Trust, a night shelter in central Bristol. It's the brainchild of Bristol comedian, Mark Olver, who started Belly Laughs last year after noticing how January was a quiet period for both restaurants, and for his comedian friends. He saw the opportunity to book in some impossible gigs―huge names in tiny spaces―and to raise money for a worthy charity. Last year, Belly Laughs put on shows in ten venues around Bristol, and raised over five thousand pounds. Lineups will change right up till the moment the show begins. He's already confirmed Rosie Jones, Fern Brady, Jarred Christmas, Stuart Goldsmith for different spots across the festival, as well as dozens of the best of Bristol's comedy scene. These gigs will be sold out before the exact lineups are known, so think of it as a secret gig. Expect a great show with great food and know you're supporting a good cause.
