Chef Kānthi of Easy Tiger and The Spice Circuit will be bringing you flavours inspired by his recent food tours to Kerala and Sri Lanka. Get ready to indulge in a glorious five-course menu plus nibbles, including a delicious slow-cooked lamb curry from Jaffna in Sri Lanka and a Keralan green herb marinated whole baked Mackerel.

We won't tease you any longer, here's the full menu that you'll enjoy on the night:

  • Pineapple Rasam with Parippu Vada: A sweet, sour and spicy broth flavoured with pineapple, black pepper, tamarind and ginger, served along with a crisp lentil vada
  • Goan Mackerel: Whole mackerel marinated in a spicy Recheado masala baked and served with tomato relish
  • Toddy Shop Chicken: Succulent boneless chicken coated in rice flour, chilli powder, ginger garlic batter and crisp fried. Served with Curry Leaf mayo
  • Jaffna Mutton Curry: Sri Lanka is known for its bold spices and slow cooking techniques. This slow cooked mutton curry from Jaffna is flavoured with a special Jaffna spice blend. Served with Malabar parottas, Raita and Thoran
  • Pani Pol: A warm vanilla crepe filled with coconut and palm treacle. Served with cardamom ice cream

For those interested, there will be a limited selected wine and beer list put together by Butlers Wines. 

The event will start at 6:45pm, but please make sure to be there by 6:30  to ensure a smooth running of the evening. 

About The Spice Circuit @ V&H Cafe

Kanthi Kiran Thamma is an award-winning Brighton-based chef formerly of Curry Leaf Café fame, and now the brains behind The Spice Circuit. The Spice Circuit is a project that stems from Kanthi's passion for food and travel, and represents his desire to share the uniquely rich culinary heritage and fabulous hospitality of his native Hyderabad, Southern India. A multifaceted venture, The Spice Circuit organises bespoke food tours of Southern India – but if you don't want to travel that far afield, why not check out some of Kanthi's pop-ups, unique events and chef collaborations? At Kanthi's events, you'll learn about of one of the most crucial events in this cultural history of food – the spice trade that linked Europe with Southern India, leading to the colonisation of areas including Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

How to claim

Book your ticket through the Wriggle app or website, then make your way to the V and H cafe in good time before the event starts. Introduce yourself as a Wriggler with a smile, and show your unique booking confirmation to redeem your purchase.
