About Edwards Kitchen

Wander down George Street today and you'll come across a beautiful, bright yellow awning that's reminiscent of the small, colourful bakeries you might stumble upon in the tiny cobbled backstreets of Rome. This, as the awning proudly declares, is Edwards Kitchen, and boy, are you in for a treat if you step inside. Inside, Edwards Kitchen is a small but perfectly formed miniature takeaway cafe, from where owner, chef and all round busy bee Lindsey serves up hearty, satisfying breakfasts, brunches and lunches. Lindsey prepares and cooks everything herself, placing great importance on simple, fresh and flavourful dishes that will satisfy you and get you smiling from the very first mouthful. From simple lunchtime classics such as quiches, soups and sarnies to a range of deliciously vibrant, seasonal salads, back via a mouthwatering array of freshly baked cakes and sweet treats, there's something for all moods, appetites and times of day. Lindsay is passionate about using the finest locally and seasonally sourced ingredients in all of her cooking, giving her food the tastiest, freshest flavours and textures. Bacon and sausages all come from the fabulous Brighton Sausage Company, where all meat is free-range and locally sourced, whilst chicken and eggs are also free range. Veggie and vegan bangers are also available. Bread comes from another stalwart of the Brighton scene, The Real Patisserie, with delicious locally roasted coffee hailing from The Roasted Bean Co. Lindsay's coffee really is something to write home about, too, as she uses exclusively organic dairy milk, with Oatly and Alpro available for non-dairy drinkers. As if you needed another reason to swoon over Edwards Kitchen, they champion fully compostable coffee cups and lids, too. What are you waiting for? Head on over to George Street today and check out Edwards Kitchen – you'll love it!
