Mooch on down to Croustillant D for a couple of Mexican dishes to rival all others! Choose any two dishes (excluding the duck fajita) off the menu and have yourself a muy bien Mexican morsel. Perfect to enjoy with a few drinks!

On the menu:

  • Chicken Taco Salad - Crunchy salad leaves, tomatoes, spring onions, and crispy shallots topped with Sussex fried chicken, salsa, chive, creme fraiche and guacamole, served in a crispy taco shell. 
  • Nachos - Homemade tortilla chips, topped with cheese, jalapenos and finished with salsa, creme fraiche and guacamole 
  • Quesadilla - Flour tortilla sandwich filled with goats cheese, chorizo, peppers, onions, pan-fried and finished with bubbly cheese (v on request) 
  • Mexican Spanish Omelette - Butternut squash, potatoes and onions cooked in a baked egg frittata, lightly spiced (v on request)
  • Jackfruit Sliders - Jackfruit chilli served in a mini brioche burger bun with gem lettuce and served with fries (v) 
  • Chicken Masala Burrito - Chicken though pieces cooked in a masala sauce, heritage tomatoes, shredded gem lettuce served with cucumber and mint raita
  • Crispy Beef Taco Shells - Pulled topside of beef ragu in crispy taco shells, topped with red chillies, spring onions, crispy shallots and tomato salsa. 

About Croustillant D @ The Seven Stars

Prepare yourself for quirky cooking from Englishmen invaded by the French, classic flavours mixed with modern techniques, delivering flavour and tantalising tummies. Expect to be hypnotised by their innovative plates and warmed with satisfaction. Traditional classics served with a crispy coating of love! Chef, Christian aka Chrisdave began cooking as a kid but then went on to train and learn his trade in the bustling kitchens in the south of France and The French Alps. Later Chrisdave went on to spend 5 years working in London, at establishments such as The Delaunay, Berners Tavern and Le Pont de la Tour. Last year Chris moved back to Brighton and worked at the acclaimed restaurant, The Pass, in The South Lodge Hotel before moving on to create his Pop Up Croustillant D. Sebastian, the younger brother of Christian, has been around the Brighton pub/restaurant scene for a number of years now after a spell in France, heading up The Tempest Inn, The Three Little Birds and more recently The Lord Nelson Inn. He also has a background in baking, and cooks a mean Roast Dinner!
