About Anderson's Bar & Grill

Hidden in eighteenth century cellars under the picturesque Georgian Square of St. Paul’s Church, you’ll find one of this city’s finest steak-houses: the award-winning Anderson’s Bar & Restaurant. Anderson’s specialises in rare breed beef, reared on farms locally and supplied by the esteemed Beck’s Butchers. The meat is dry-aged for a minimum of 31 days for maximum flavour and texture, with some beef further enhanced in Anderson’s in-house dry ager. With this being the case, steak is definitely the star of the show here, and their a la carte menu boasts cuts of sirloin, rib-eye and a luxuruous angus t-bone. There’s also a choice of speciality cuts (including angus rump medallions and angus bone in sirloin), alongside tomahawk and porterhouse sharing steaks. For those real beef connoisseurs amongst us, you’ll want to check out the ‘Market Menu’. Making a part of one-off and exclusive nights, this menu features a limited amount of rare, native and unique breeds of beef from some of the finest farmers in the UK. It’s a real treat and offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to sample some exceptionally rare breeds; as a result, bookings for these are advised as they’re extremely popular and portion numbers are limited. But (and it might surprise you), it’s not all about the beef. Anderson’s a la carte and set menus showcase some beautiful fish and vegetable based dishes. The pan roast stone bass (served with ratatouille) is a winner, and for vegetarians the Mediterranean vegetable and goats cheese pithivier hits the nail on the head.
