The Greazy Vegan started life as a little pop-up in a local Pontcanna pub; a real passion project for its founder, Will.
Since those humble beginnings, it's sold out every single event, had hundreds of rave reviews and even gathered a waiting list of more than 800 people desperate to try the dirty-delicious vegan take on classic junk food dishes.
Much to the excitement of the plant-based foodies of Cardiff, at the beginning of this year, the team behind Greazy Vegan announced that they'd be opening a permanent 'fast food' outlet in Cardiff city centre - the first of its kind in the country.
After lots of fanfare and media interest, the team were then unexpectedly faced with making a difficult ethical decision.
Founder Will explained, "As we are passionate about being 100% vegan (and have visions to be the market leader of veganism in Cardiff) we had to take the difficult decision to part company with the main investors for the new restaurant, as they weren't able to commit to the 100% vegan ethos that Greazy Vegan stands for."
And so now, Will needs *your* help to make a permanent Greazy Vegan restaurant a reality.
To help Will open a 100% plant-based takeaway in a central Cardiff, he's asking for crowdfunded donations to help raise the final £40,000 he needs.
People who donate to Will's cause will be able to choose from a variety of rewards - from a simple Greazy Vegan sticker or t-shirt - right up to Greazy Vegan 'God' status, which entitles the buyer to a 50% discount for life, a private party at the new venue once open, and whole host of branded mech.
Will continued, "We aim to create a simple, bright and welcoming restaurant that can appeal to everyone, and believe that our proposed site in Cardiff city centre will benefit from being opposite the castle, as tourists will be able to easily find us too. We'd love for people to help us make this dream a reality!"
