Curry is one of the best ways to bring the heat – both with a taste of beautiful foreign climates, and with a gently (or boldly) hint of fiery spice. Being the baby of one of Cardiff’s best independent Indian restaurants, Mint and Mustard, Chai Street was always bound for success. The restaurant hasn’t even celebrated its second birthday yet, but it debuted in the Michelin Guide 2016, and has made a name for itself as one of city's the must-visit destinations. Crumbs has long been a popular haunt for Cardiff’s vegetarians. Located in one of the capital’s bustling Victorian arcades, entering this family-run cafe is like stepping into someone’s kitchen. This vegan spinach and chickpea pie is heaven in pastry form, and there's plenty of other comfort food on offer, including baked potatoes and cosy veggie curry – yum!
