Vegan junk food lovers, prepare to lose your proverbial $h!t about this golden (vegan) nugget of foodie news: Greazy Vegan are launching a new permanent restaurant. Read on to find our everything you need to know about one of the most hotly anticipated openings in the 'Diff – and click here to access an exclusive Wriggle discount on any burger.

As the name suggests, Greazy Vegan serve up seriously delicious, downright dirty junk food that is totally plant-based and cruelty free. The Greazy Vegan team recreate those classic junk food dishes that so many of us think we have to give up once we make the leap into veganism. You know the ones we mean – sloppy, filthy saucy little bits of naughty that are so often the objects of our deepest, darkest (and okay – let's be honest – most drunken) cravings – a bit like this kebab:

Yep, that's right: that finger-lickin' beauty is 100% vegan, and it features on The Greazy Vegan's brand spanking new menu – for a mere £8.

So what's the story?

The Greazy Vegan is run by a team of committed vegans, who've all been following an animal-free lifestyle for 5+ years. Like so many of us have found, the one thing that was missing from the new lifestyle was a proper fix of junk food, and so that was the void that the team stepped in to fill. After a serious of ridiculously successful, sell-out pop-ups around Cardiff, a waiting list longer than the Amazon River, and media coverage at local, national and international levels, the Greazy Vegan are now opening a permanent restaurant. Hurrah!

What's the goal?

To prove that going vegan does NOT mean the end of outrageously good junk food – and that vegan treats can be delectable enough to satisfy even the most carnivorous of meat-eaters!

The restaurant is all set to launch on Monday 27th August – keep your eyes peeled for exclusive Wriggle launch offers, too!

As if Castle Quarter Arcades could get any better, the Greazy Vegan Restaurant will be opening at 47-49 Castle Arcade. The Arcades usually close at 5pm, but thankfully, Greazy Vegan will be staying open from 11am until 9pm daily, answering all of our lunch and dinnertime vegan junk food cravings. Promising a simple, chilled out dining space with relaxed vibes and a pared back atmosphere, we think this is going to be a fantastic addition to the Arcades.

How much?

This is fast food at its sloppy finest – not fine dining – so expect reasonable prices to match. Mains (including burgers, doners and hot wings) range from £6 – £8, and sides come in between £2.50 – £3.50.

We can't wait to head to the new premises and get ourselves some Greazy Vegan goodness – see you there.
