Blue Honey Night Café

It’s Sully’s Café by day but on Friday and Saturday nights, Blue Honey Night Café is where Cardiff’s hip young things come to party. It also does some banging bar food, including this lovely looking lamb wrap.

Deli a Go Go

A little birdy told us that this delicious little deli serves up some of the best salt beef in Cardiff. Judging by this photo, we’re inclined to agree…

We’re big fans of this cute café which is tucked away in Cardiff Bay. This bacon, sausage and egg baguette, AKA the Hog and Hen, has been known to cure even the worst of hangovers.

Head down to the weekend farmers’ markets and enjoy one of the best cheese toasties in Cardiff courtesy of Mr Croquewich.

It’s the perfect place for creatives to catch up over coffee and also dishes up some luscious lunches. Check out the fresh baguettes and sandwiches which change on a daily basis.

Wally’s Kaffeehaus

The Moos

Don’t be fooled by the name of this sandwich; the BBQ steak is actually vegan! We love The Moos for its cruelty-free sandwiches, cakes and smoothies.

Fresh Baguette

Pretty much anyone who works in the city centre has enjoyed a Fresh Baguette lunch at one point. Owner Gareth is a man with taste and specials include the best-selling Indian spiced chicken with mango mayonnaise and for veggies, this heavenly houmous, pesto and roasted veg combo.

Nata

If you fancy something a bit different, nip into Nata for a francesinha. This Portuguese classic is a ham sandwich covered in melted cheese and a hot thick tomato sauce and served with French fries. Don’t expect to have room for a custard tart afterwards.

Anna Loka

Anna Loka is Cardiff’s first 100% vegan restaurant and regularly tops the list of best places to eat in the capital. As well as banging burgers and breakfasts, the kitchen offers tasty lunches like The Arabian, a beetroot and red lentil kofta wrap with Thai slaw and garlic mayonnaise.
