Here at Team Wriggle we can't get enough of the magnificent Wright's Wines – the opening of this natural wine emporium on the balcony of the Castle Quarter Arcades was the highlight of spring for us. It's a beautiful space, and the perfect place to relax with a few glasses of the finest quality wine – and perhaps a little cheese board...
This Saturday 7th July, the Wright's team are inviting the inimitable Gergovie Wines importers to the arcades. On the day, Kit Hodgson of Gergovie Wines will be pouring wines that are close to his hearts – and straight from Gergovie's heartland, too: the Auvergne. Widely regarded as one of the most exciting and interesting wine regions in the world, the Auvergne produces wines that are diverse, dynamic, and dangerously drinkable. Kit will be bringing a selection of rare and unusual beauties from the Auvergne's most respected producers, including Aurélien Lefort and Fred Gounan.
Running from 12 – 6pm, at the wine tasting you'll enjoy a free taster of one of the wines being showcased, and be able to buy all the wines by the glass – we can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday.
There'll even be an extra special treat available only by special request: a traditional terrine made in the renowned kitchen of the Gergovie restaurant and wine bar: 40 Maltby Street.
See you in the Arcades!
