Brr! It’s cold out there so snuggle up with one of these cosy drinks from our favourite Cardiff indie cafes. Vegans can get into the festive spirit too as most these places offer soy, almond or oat milk if you’re after a dairy-free option.

Sit back and soak up the surf and skate memorabilia with surf movies playing on a big screen and surf magazines to read. A combination of caffeine, great food and alt-sport culture is perfect for soul searching.

Wrap up warm and try Jamie’s delicious salted caramel lattes and peanut butter hot chocolate – drool.

Get your coffee fix and chat to Sophie and Matt about all things music related at this cool little hideaway in the city centre. Our favourites are the hot chocolate and the V60.

This independent book shop and café bar is tucked away in Cardiff Bay and serves a mean flat white. The mulled cider goes down a treat, too.

The Parc Deli
OK, so technically this isn’t a warm drink but doesn’t it look Christmassy? If you’ve not tried horchata, it’s made from rice milk and almonds (so suitable for vegans) and is 100% delicious. There are plenty of hot drinks on the menu too.

One of our favourite city centre bars is known for its cocktails but have you tried the magical mulled cider? A must for getting through Christmas shopping season…

This lovely little coffee spot in the heart of Pontcanna is a great space to work or catch up with friends. The takeaway cups are 100% biodegradable too and they deliver by bike.

Waterloo Tea is an ocean of calm in the city centre with sister sites in Penylan and Penarth. There are hot drinks aplenty but our favourite is this vibrant tangerine tea. The vegan cakes are pretty special too.
