Grillstock is the biggest, smokiest, noisiest and meatiest festival outside the US with three music stages, over thirty BBQ food trucks, a huge US-style BBQ contest, epic street theatre, BBQ master-classes, eating competitions and plenty of festival bars to help wash everything down.

From it’s early roots deep seated in southern sounds, bluegrass and twisted Americana, Grillstock has grown over the years into a large scale, fully fledged music festival in its own right. Here are some of the highlights to look forward to from the main stage.

CRAIG CHARLES DJ SET - The Radio 6 DJ and all round King of Funk, brings his special blend of funk and soul to close-out the Grillstock main stage on the Saturday night. Action packed and full of jams.

HOT 8 BRASS BAND - Hot 8 blend hip-hop, jazz and funk with their native New Orleans brass sounds. Check out their take on Marvin Gaye’s ‘Sexual Healing’.

HAYSEED DIXIE - Grillstock Festival favourite and the closest thing to a house band that we have. Creators of the musical genre “Rockgrass”, Hayseed Dixie are all about rip-snorting, hillbilly covers of hard rock songs. We think their hillbilly version of ‘Highway to Hell’ is better than AC/DC’s.

THE DARKNESS - Self confessed "world's most epic rock band”, The Darkness will be headlining Sunday evening. Air guitars at the ready!!

GOLDIE LOOKIN CHAIN - You knows it.

In addition to the main festival stage in the amphitheatre, the Dive Bar offers a more intimate underground club experience with an awesome mix of live bands, slide guitars, banjo picking and late night DJ sets. Don't miss Son of Dave, DJ Cheeba, Sicknote Steve, the Dirty Diesel Outlaw Orchestra and many more.

Grillstock 2017 also sees the return of of the now legendary MeatRave. Taking place as the sun goes down in and around the grill-pits and smokers of the BBQ competition. MeatRave is the best party you’ve ever been to, the most amazing wedding disco minus the wedding, the best after-party without the bouquet and weirdo in the corner, you know every tune and your dancing feet never get sore.
