Dinema is Bristol’s new alfresco cinema experience that tastes as good as it looks. From 14-16th July, a pop-up big screen at The Memorial Stadium, on Filton Avenue, will screen classic films, also featuring some of the best street food and drink available in the city.
Where to get VIP tickets
VIP Tickets to the three main screenings will cost £14.95 and are over-18 only. As a VIP, you'll get an introductory drink - any cocktail, beer, or glass of Wine/Prosecco from the bar, run by Bristol's cocktail masters, Flipside.
What is the first thing that crosses your mind when you go to the cinema? Film snacks, of course, and Dinema promises to fulfil your every wish with their Street Food Market, packed full of Bristol’s finest independent suppliers including Wriggle faves Los Hermanos, Tasty Ragga and Buckland Burgers.
Friday sees the showing of cult classic The Blues Brothers, grab your seat, loosen that tie and belt out the words to Everybody Needs Somebody To Love
On Saturday evening, join Danny, Sandy and all of the other T-Birds and Pink Ladies in the closest thing to a drive-in for a screening of Grease – which is still, very definitely, the word.
You can also re-familiarise yourself with Wayne’s World, featuring the head-banging, guitar-toting adventure of basement rock stars Wayne and Garth. Excellent!
Access to the Street Food Market and bar area is free, they will of course be open on all three evenings, as well as daytimes on Saturday and Sunday. Featuring stalls from the Bristol Beer Factory, Moor Beer, Flipside Cocktail Club and many more, all washed down with live music from the likes of DJ Cheeba.
Dinema is a project of the BARBIE (Bristol Association of Restaurants, Bars and Independent Establishments) group. Launched in January 2017 to give Bristol’s independent businesses the voice that they so rightly deserve.
