Dust off your sunnies and slide on those sandals, because we’ve got one hell of a holiday lined up for you – and it's happening right here in Bristol!
This summer, we’re inviting you to take part in the ultimate Foodcation. From Harbourside food tours to picnics at wild swimming spots, we’ve curated a laid-back line-up of summer antics at sunny dining spots, pub gardens and picnic destinations, alongside a suitcase full of walks, bike rides and swimming opportunities. All of which is available to book through the Wriggle app and website.

The Wriggle Foodcation offers a chance to explore Bristol and Bath’s go-to summer hangouts, through a series of self-guided food and drink tours. We’re talking activities like a cycling tour from Bristol to Bath cycle (starting at Bakehouse in St Philips with coffee and cake, and finishing up at Dough in Bath for pizzas and beers), Harbourside meanderings (featuring food and drink from Salt & Malt and Oliver’s Ice Cream), and picnics at wild swimming hot spots (with local picnic delicacies sourced from Sandy Park Deli).
There are now 6 tours to pick from on the Wriggle app and website, and we'll be adding plenty more soon! Every food tour is self-guided and comes with a Foodcation passport (attached to a limited edition Wriggle lanyard), which contains information about the walking and cycling route, details about each and every food stop, and many more recommendations of things to see and do whilst you're in the neighbourhood. You'll also receive a collectable postcard; there's one of these to grab on each of the 6 tours!

The current food tours to choose from include:
1. The Harbourside Food Tour 🍦
AKA Harbados – this is a summer classic! This meander around the famous Bristol Harbourside comes complete with ice cream from Oliver's Ice Cream, and fish & chips from none-other than the legendary Salt & Malt. It'll also show you the sights, stopping at Brunel's Other Bridge, Underfall Yard and some hidden gems along the way.
2. The Easton Food Tour 🍻
An absolute haven for food lovers, this Easton food tour takes you to several of our favourite venues including No.12 Easton, East Bristol Bakery, and The Greenbank, as well as visits to Sweet Mart and a lesser known Banksy piece just off St Marks Road.
3. The Bristol to Bath Cycle Tour 🚴
We've taken the classic route along the Bristol to Bath cycle path and added a dash of Wriggle flair. Starting at The Bakehouse in St Philips for coffee and cake, this tour leads you along the famous cycle path, stopping at sights along the way for a pinch of local history. The ticket to this tour also includes a pit-stop treat at Warmley Waiting Rooms, and pizza and beers at Dough in Bath.
4. The Clifton Village Food Tour 🧁
This tour is for those who like to live the life of luxury. Guiding you through the idyllic settings of Clifton Village (including a jaunt along Royal York Cresecent), the Clifton Food Tour takes you to Anna's Cake Courture and The Mall Deli before leading you to our favourite picnic spot by the Observatory.
5. The St Werburgh's Food Tour 🌯
Some of the Wriggle team's neighbourhood, and an absolute favourite place to hang out and explore, we couldn't resist doing a tour of St Werburgh's best food and drink spots. This local tour includes stops at Popti & Beast, the City Farm, Liya's (for a famous naan bread wrap) and Fierce & Noble Brewery, as well as a look at the graffiti in Mina Road tunnel and the eco-build community.
6. A Picnic at Bristol's Famous Wild Swimming Spot 🏊
If you consider yourself a fresh-air-head then this is the tour for you. Pick up a plethora of top notch picnic treats from the Deli @ Sandy Park and head on down to the River Avon Valley (right by Beese's) to kickback at one of fantastic wild swimming spots.
