The team at Pinkmans are hosting a Charity Banquet at Hamilton House in aid of “Help Refugees”. The event is being held on the evening of Friday 7th July and features a 10 course middle eastern“mezze” sharing menu, which includes Pinkmans breads and deserts, as well as a welcome cocktail on arrival. Tickets are £35 a head and all proceeds will go to Help Refugees, a charity who provide emergency aid and vital services to those affected by the global refugee crisis.

During the deconstruction of the Calais Jungle, Help Refugees worked tirelessly supporting and protecting the refugees. Now their mission has become even harder; they have gone mobile, seeking out those who need help in makeshift camps scattered around France. They provide the most vulnerable with access to basic needs such as water, food, warm clothing and shelter, distributing food bags as well as hot meals.

Pinkmans Bakers Alice & Eddie have put together a menu specifically to echo traditional dishes from the refugees’ home countries. Alice describes the dishes as‘bursting with flavours which transport your senses to the Middle East. Beautifully fresh summer salads, koftas, fish cakes, and muhammara and baba ganoush amongst other mezze dishes - it’s going to be a delicious feast rounded off by incredible desserts so save some room!’

Pinkmans will be using the Coexist Community Kitchen at Hamilton house, a charity project supporting people through cooking and food.

The Banquet starts at 7pm (on Friday 7th July) and tickets can be purchased online, at the Pinkmans Bakery counter on Park Street or at the reception at Hamilton House.
