Sussex based brewery Brighton Bier are doing their bit to help restore our city’s Madeira Terraces. The campaign exceeded expectations in November last year when over £464,000 was crowdfunded by the council. That’s alotta dolla, but not quite enough. Brighton Bier want to boost those funds by launching a special 4% ABV pale ale called Mabiera - a quarter of profits from this beer will go towards the restoration fund. The new beer launches in keg and can on Friday 2nd Feb at Wriggle favourite, Brighton Bierhaus. Go support your local brewery and help save this iconic Brighton landmark.
The Bierhaus are also hosting a Super Bowl LII Party on the 4th. 3 Screens, US Beers and food from Little Blue Smokehouse.
The most Brighton event EVER! Our very own Seedy Sunday is now the largest and longest-running community seed swap event in the UK. It takes place at BHASVIC on the 4th Feb, at the centre of the event you’ll find a ginormous seed swapping table … does what it says on the tin really. Throughout the day there’ll be expert speakers, seed saving demonstrations, family activities and treats on offer from Infinity Foods Cafe. Gather the fam and head down for a wholesome end to the week.
Two local talents team up on the 5th Feb for this one off pop up at The Gingerman. So what’s on the menu we hear you ask. Well we can’t give it all away now can we, but what we can tell you is you lucky things are in for an organic, plant based winter feast. The evening's festivities kick off with a boozy cocktail, followed by an appetizing five course taster menu, all laid out on large ‘family style’ dining tables. Both Gem and Nicola have built up enviable reputations amongst the Brighton food glitterati, so this a pop up you won’t want to miss out on.
