Fabulous February, yes that's what we shall call her. The month of Pancakes, good old Saint Valentine and the bit we've all been waiting for ... BACK ON THE BOOZE. This month we're hitting it hard with bountiful moonshine, glorious foodie events and doing our bit for the community. 

Here's everything you need to spend the next 28 days in a delirious, food injected haze. 

Ever tried any Czech wines? Thought not. Let's put an end to that deprivation right away. Head over to the elegant Plateau and get ready to taste eight glorious Czech wines, discover more about the Moravia wine producing region, and snack on some mouthwatering Plateau nibbles. Sounds pretty good, right?!  

Sussex based brewery Brighton Bier are doing their bit to help restore our city’s Madeira Terraces. The campaign exceeded expectations in November last year when over £464,000 was crowdfunded by the council. That’s alotta dolla, but not quite enough. Brighton Bier want to boost those funds by launching a special 4% ABV pale ale called Mabiera - a quarter of profits from this beer will go towards the restoration fund. The new beer launches in keg and can on Friday 2nd Feb at Wriggle favourite, Brighton Bierhaus. Go support your local brewery and help save this iconic Brighton landmark.

The Bierhaus are also hosting a Super Bowl LII Party on the 4th. 3 Screens, US Beers and food from Little Blue Smokehouse.

The most Brighton event EVER! Our very own Seedy Sunday is now the largest and longest-running community seed swap event in the UK. It takes place at BHASVIC on the 4th Feb, at the centre of the event you’ll find a ginormous seed swapping table … does what it says on the tin really. Throughout the day there’ll be expert speakers, seed saving demonstrations, family activities and treats on offer from Infinity Foods Cafe. Gather the fam and head down for a wholesome end to the week. 

Two local talents team up on the 5th Feb for this one off pop up at The Gingerman. So what’s on the menu we hear you ask. Well we can’t give it all away now can we, but what we can tell you is you lucky things are in for an organic, plant based winter feast. The evening's festivities kick off with a boozy cocktail, followed by an appetizing five course taster menu, all laid out on large ‘family style’ dining tables. Both Gem and Nicola have built up enviable reputations amongst the Brighton food glitterati, so this a pop up you won’t want to miss out on. 

Humble Plates joins forces with Siren Craft Brew for Bison Beer’s first pop up of the year in their new crafty abode over in Hove. Make sure you're free on the 9th & 10th cos you’d be hopping mad not to get involved in this blinding event. Errrmegggerd Pancake season is HERE. Shrove Tuesday is peeking round the corner and we couldn't be more flippin' excited. Everyone knows breakfast foods are the best kind of foods, especially when they're made with those three magic little ingredients. Who knew milk, flour and eggs could make us so unbelievably happy? Because you deserve to brunch like a champ, here's Wriggle’s top picks of where to get stacked this Pancake Day in Brighton.

Included in the menu price of £60 is 1 non alcoholic and 6 alcoholic cocktails as well as complimentary canapés to start and a board from The Great British Charcuterie with sourdough bread. This one will earn you major brownie points.

If you're a gin lover who's keen to discover more about the juniper-based delight, then this is event for you. Metrodeco will take you on a journey of gin discovery, talking you through the plethora of styles and providing a short history of how they came to be. By the end of the night, you'll be a fountain of knowledge, confident in your capacity to tell your London Dry from your Old Tom and your Genever from your Bathtub. 

Veggies of Brighton delight – this one's for you, and it's a bloody good'un. Make your hungry way over to The Richmond Bar, where the heroic team at the No Kill Grill pop-up will be serving up a killer (not literally, obv) three course street food feast. These guys make seriously tantalising veggie and vegan treats; expect big, bold flavours and seasonal, delicious ingredients. 

Every Saturday and Sunday until 17th March, The Tempest Inn are hosting a series of boozy bottomless brunches. Choose from a Veggie or Classic Full English or Smashed Avocado on Toast all washed down with unlimited Bloody Mary’s and Mimosa’s. For £20 you have two hours to down as much booze as you can. Ready, set .. GLUG!

Firm Brighton Brighton favourite, The Flourpot Bakery, have only gone and done the impossible haven't they. They’ve only gone and flippin’ made vegan pastries. And by heck do they taste like the real deal. Get yourself over to any of their stores and get one of these pain au chocolat’s in yer gob. Sunday mornings are now complete!
