Errrmegggerd Pancake season is HERE. Shrove Tuesday is peeking round the corner and we couldn't be more flippin' excited. Everyone knows breakfast foods are the best kind of foods, especially when they're made with those three magic little ingredients. Who knew milk, flour and eggs could make us so unbelievably happy? 

Because you deserve to brunch like a champ, here's where to get stacked in Brighton. 

You've heard of Pancake Day, but have you heard of Panquake Day? Starfish & Coffee have coined the phrase in celebration of their epic and elaborate pancake concoctions; potentially the biggest, most extravagant, and most delectable available in Brighton. We think it's a worthy title for these heavenly creations! 

Wriggle your way down to cosy Cafe Trafe, nestled on the corner of Brighton's Trafalgar Street. It's here that you can try one of their sweet (or savoury) treats. Their crepes are absolutely delicious and have some killer combos such as Nutella & Strawberry or Ham, Egg & Cheese and Chicken  Mushroom & Cream Cheese.

Serving a match made in heaven - American Style pancakes and great coffee, these two lads have nailed their MO. Inspired by the cafes in Amsterdam (not those ones) who serve the same, they ditched their career paths and now dedicate themselves to serving the Brighton public with thick, fluffy pancakes.

Topped with anything from classic flavours, such as blueberry and maple syrup, or something new, such as their banoffee pie special you would be mad to not flock to their hatch and get your fill of fresh made pancakes.

Crazy instagrammable with a large helping of retro chic is where you'll find Nowhere Man nestling somewhere between. These pancake connoisseur's dishes are raved about amongst the foodies in Brighton. Banana & Walnut, Blueberry and Smoked Bacon & Maple are just some of the mouth watering choices you'll find on their decadent menu. Vegan and Gluten free alternatives are available too. 

Dayum these pancakes look hella fine. Wriggle on over to Moksha Caffe for a large stack of fluffy goodness. Choose from Blueberry & Maple or Banana & Toffee American style pancakes, wash it down with a Teapig matcha latte for added wholesome feels. 

If you like a classic crepe, Infinity Foods Kitchen is the place to head. Using local, organic ingredients to craft their exceptional vegan pancakes, this is a stack that most definitely has your back. No bells and whistles needed for this plate of fluffy goodness, these pancakes speak for themselves. 

This suave little number over on Ship Street is serving up some of the finest pancakes in town. This Smoked Back Bacon & Canadian Maple Syrup trio has your name all over it, or if you're feeling something a little healthier opt for the Greek Yogurt, Berry Compote, Honey & Seeds stack. Or if you fancy something different altogether, a Wriggle favourite is the Coho French Toast - Blueberries, Smoked Back Bacon, Banana & Maple Mascarpone. *Dribble.  

Head a little further down Ship Street and you'll find specialist Coffee Roasters, Trading Post Coffee. These guys know how to break out the big guns when it comes to their pancake game. Choose from smoked Back Bacon, Blueberries, Crumbled Pecan & Maple Syrup; Caramelized Apple Slices, Blueberries & Salted Caramel or Cherry Bakewell - Greek Yogurt, Cherry Compote, Almond Syrup & Toasted Almond Flakes. 

Opposite St Peters you’ll find a real cool little joint called The Longhouse Cafe. It’s 100% plant-based and has oodles of tasty menu options and a whole heap of charm. Sparse white walls paired with colourful artwork, a ceiling canopy of beautiful foliage from local indoor plant shop, Spiderplant and vibrant miss-matched furniture make it an Instagrammer's dream. If you haven’t been yet, we’d recommend the ‘Notella’ pancakes on your first visit, we can guarantee you’ll be back for more.

The original Curry Leaf Cafe is located in the heart of Brighton's bustling Lanes, just a couple of minutes' walk from the beach. Its colourful, laid-back 75-seat dining space – decked out with exposed brick walls, wooden tables and vintage Indian design touches. The paper thin Masala Dosa pancakes are the perfect savoury snack. 

A trip across America introduced the soon-to-be owners of The New Club to the best of US diner culture, where ordinary, honest food using top quality ingredients - made from scratch with care - became a call to action.

Choose from yummy combo’s such as Vanilla Chantilly cream & berry compote, Caramelised banana & hazelnut crumb and Smoked salmon with seaweed pea puree & dill cream cheese.
