This Saturday the UK’s first restaurant with cannabis-infused food opens its doors on Brighton’s Duke Street.

The first restaurant of its kind will specialise in vegetarian and vegan food infused with the legal cannabis compound cannabidiol. Commonly known as CBD, CBG and CBN, it is non-psychoactive and is commonly used for medicinal purposes.

Think of this place as a cafe-cum-cocktail lounge, dispensary-cum-vaping terrace. The heavily plant based menu graces dishes such as Zaa’tar roast cauliflower with hemp heart tabbouleh, smoked aubergine, sesame cavolo nero and CBD tahini cream; and buckwheat and beetroot pancake with roast roots, rocket and CBD cashew cheese. The kitchen only sources the best fresh, local and organic produce and creates flavourful combinations full of nutritious, healthy ingredients.

“Our mission is to change the way people think about the cannabis plant by creating beautiful vegan and vegetarian dishes which are tastefully complemented with its infusion. Cannabis is a versatile and powerful herb, packed full of flavour, fragrance, and natural therapeutic benefit.”
