Chef, Christian aka Chrisdave began cooking as a kid but then went on to train and learn his trade in the bustling kitchens in the south of France and The French Alps. Later Chrisdave went on to spend 5 years working in London, at establishments such as The Delaunay, Berners Tavern and Le Pont de la Tour. Last year Chris moved back to Brighton and worked at the acclaimed restaurant, The Pass, in The South Lodge Hotel before moving on to create his Pop Up Croustiallant D.

Sebastian, the younger brother of Christian, has been around the Brighton pub/restaurant scene for a number of years now after a spell in France, heading up The Tempest Inn, The Three Little Birds and more recently The Lord Nelson Inn. He also has a background in baking, and cooks a mean Roast Dinner!

Because we love these tasting boards so much we've teamed up with the Croustillant D chaps to offer you a very special Wriggle. You and your lucky partner-in-dine will sample the absolute crème da la crème of Croustillant D's cookery: seasonal and satisfying dishes that are crafted from locally produced ingredients and served up with careful thought and a few surprising twists, too. 

You'll enjoy the assiette of porc: a gorgeous platter of locally reared Sussex pork including confit pork belly, braised cheek and pulled shoulder. It's beautifully complemented by a stunning range of sides: buttery potatoes, apple and mustard sauce, red cabbage puree, kale and scratchings. You'll also be tucking into a meaty tasting board: a fully loaded platter which showcases the finest in Croustillant D's small plates and specialities, including an outrageously delicious scotch egg. These small plates are taken to another level by the incredible array of added extras: we particularly love the homemade paprika and onion crisps, but there's a veritable treasure trove of cured and cooked nibbles, pickles, and homemade ketchups and sauces.

If meat ain't your thang, you can also opt for the Fish or Vegan tasting board, just be sure to let them know which one you're going for when you get there. This Wriggle is perfect for a lazy lunch with a close pal or a dreamy date night with your nearest and dearest – but these won't stick around for long, so get a Wriggle on!
