Humble Plates represent the finest of the pop-up restaurant scene in Brighton & Hove. Head chef Dan's cooking style is progressive and exciting, with real creative flair running through the dishes cooked, yet there's also a strong emphasis on accessibility, and a noticeable desire to avoid stuffiness and pretentiousness. Dan cut his culinary teeth at the popular and well-respected Chilli Pickle in Brighton before his first Head Chef role at The Crabtree gastropub in West Sussex. Campfire cooking is the concept of going back to the roots of hospitality. The aim to champion an honest yet progressive style of cooking whilst celebrating the experience of gathering around a fire, enjoying great food and sharing with friends The Hideout concept is based on 'Modern Campfire Cooking'. Essentially, this means going back to the roots of hospitality. It's all about sharing great food as if you were sitting around a campfire with friends. There's a distinctly global flavour to Humble Plates' menus; techniques and ingredients from around the world are incorporated but are served up with a slice of Humble Plates' characteristic edge and innovation.

Grab a table, or the railway carriage-style booth, and start working your way through the menu centred around two main offerings – wings and signature ‘sandwiches’. When it comes to the wings, tailor your choice with one of the four house sauces from the Wendy original buffalo to the smoking hot Shadow (over 18's only) or choose from one of the week's guest sauces. There’s a Buffalo chicken sandwich smothered in swiss and blue cheese dressing with your name on it, too.
