On Thursday 3rd October Brighton’s award-winning South Indian casual dining brand Curry Leaf Cafe bucked the national trend for restaurant closures and opened its fourth site in the city: a purpose-built street food trailer styled to resemble an Indian train carriage and positioned outside the popular Churchill Square shopping centre.
To celebrate the new launch, they're offering you lucky Wrigglers the chance to nab a Build-Your-Own Lunchboxes for a mere £1! We love being able to build our own meals from a plethora of delicious options - whether you’re in the mood for a wrap, salad or rice box, you have plenty of amazing combos to pick and choose from. The deal is running this Wednesday only, and will be available to purchase from 11am. There's a limited number of deals so you'll have to be fast!
As well as the £1 specials on this week, we also have a regular Wriggle running for those of you that can't wait, or miss out on the Wednesday flash sale. Running daily is a Build-Your-Own Main and Drink for £6.25 - that's a 37% saving!
The new street food kiosk will serve a range of Indian pastries, street food, wraps, biriyani rice boxes and curries from 9am onwards each day, alongside healthy options such as salads, lassi drinks and organic teas. As with its other sites, those with dietary requirements are very well catered for; around half the menu is vegan and gluten-free, and the seasonal menu uses locally sourced ingredients where possible and is served in compostable, biodegradable packaging. They also offer a BYO Lunchbox option for those who want to bring their own containers.
With three sites in Brighton – the original Brighton Lanes Cafe, Kemptown Kitchen and Brighton Station kiosk – serving more than 15,000 people a month, Curry Leaf Cafe was already the biggest independent food operator in the city. The addition of ‘Curry Leaf Cafe – Churchill Square’ further cements its reputation as one of Brighton’s hospitality success stories.
Euan Sey, Curry Leaf Cafe co-founder and commercial director, said: “We’re thrilled to open another site here in our hometown. Churchill Square attracts millions of shoppers every year, and trading from such a prominent location gives us the chance to bring our freshly prepared, authentic Indian street food to an even wider audience – as well as offering a range of reasonably priced, restaurant-quality food to the many people who live and work in the city centre.”
