What’s more festive than a cocktail named Creamy Pud or Candy Cane Martini. Metrodeco, an oh-so-glamorous 1930’s tea salon has a whole winter special cocktail menu just ready and waiting to be unwrapped. Warm yer cockles with a Hot Metroddy - Shady Lady Blended Gin, Limoncello, Apple Juice, Cinnamon Stick & Honey or how about a Winbush Winter Warmer - Masala Chai Blended Dark Rum, Brandy & Hot Chocolate. Ding, dong darling!

The jokers over at Joker have a whole christmassy heap of tasty festive drinks to keep us toasty this Winter. They’re mulled wine and mulled cider are delicious chilly evening staples but check out these newcomers to the menu... Bonfire Apple - salted saramel Kahlúa topped with pressed apple juice; Snowflake - Martell, Crème de cacao, double cream, dusted with nutmeg or this beauty and Rhubarb Bellini - Absolut, rhubarb liqueur, sugar, topped with Prosecco. One of each plz!

Those good little elves over at Small Batch have been busying themselves making their immense Christmas blend. It has been hailed as ‘Christmas in a cup’ and we’d like 2 trillion cups. Grab a bag to take home, or sip on a jolly brew in one of their local shops. We also got stupidly excited when we found out they’re serving up Rum Hot chocolate in their Norfolk Square branch, Rum pa pum pum, Rum pa pum pum …

Dash over to Hove and put a bit of sparkle on it with one of Kiki’s Kitchen glittering new beverages. Opt for a flat white, hot chocolate or cappuccino with added shimmery bits. Kiki’s is a wonderful wintry seaside independent with quirky artwork and retro furnishings, you’ll definitely feel like you’re in Hove actually. If you’re lacking on the crimbo decs, they’re even hosting a Wreath making workshop on Weds 13th. Let’s get wreathy with it.

Ever tried Hopped Gin? Those clever clogs over at North Laine Brewhouse have developed their very own Minstrel hopped gin infused with spicy berries and orange served with either cinnamon & orange, orange & blackberries or rosemary, blackberries & blueberries. Just let them know your flavour profile they’ll match it. Let the festive season beGIN!

Speciality coffee brewers Bond St. Coffee have got some gifts of the caffeinated kind. Their Washed Kenya Peaberry bean with tasting notes of blackcurrant, rhubarb and mulled spices will have you rockin’ right round that Christmas tree. Another excellent choice is the Nutty Brazil Santa Colomba, with hints of milk choc, pecans and cherries. Dreamy!

The Greys, a much loved, long-time gig venue know how to keep us Brightonians fed, watered and warm in the winter months. Spend an evening guzzling their delicious mulled wine or a spicy hot toddy’s to really get you in the Christmas spirit - aka singing Mariah Carey at the top of your lungs. All we want for Xmas is more of Hanover’s finest mulled wine!

Take a pit stop from Crimbo shopping in Nowhere Man, a Beatles-esque coffee shop just off Western Road. Settle down on a comfy sofa with a lovely hot cup of Almond Chai Latte - heavenly! While you’re here you may as well have a cheeky lil peep at their pancake menu too.. 'oh go on then', we hear you cry. These legends cook up the best vegan and gluten free pancakes in town, 8 days a week. (Sorry, not sorry.)

Got some time to kill before you catch your coach down @ Pool Valley? We’d highly recommend popping into Chapter XIII, a tattoo shop x gallery x espresso bar, for a frosty day pick-me-up. On their festive drinks menu is a nawty Cadbury’s Hot Choc, complete with whipped cream and - ofc - marshmallows, a Creamy Caramel Latte and the ultimate tinsel-tastic showstopper, a Gold Glittercino.
