The pub has existed since 1368, and having stood the test of time during the English civil war the pub now stands proud in the heart of Digbeth, Birmingham’s thriving creative quarter. As if Yorks on Stephenson Street isn’t cool enough, they’ve only gone and opened up a second joint in the internationally acclaimed IKON Gallery on Oozells Square. In the afternoon you have to try their flatbreads and small plates in particular the Turkish beef kebab). The whole menu is a real tour de force, and we must admit that in can be difficult to decide what we fancy - but don’t feel intimidated; everything is cracking so you can’t put a foot wrong.
