Shrug off the shackles of the three-course meal, sink into a sofa and let the Koh Thai Tapas team make you a Caipirinha. Koh Thai Tapas are defying conventions – they are reforming Thai dining with an infectious blend of European indulgence and authentic Thai tastes. From curries and stir fries to soups or tapas, Koh Thai know what will make you happy and boy is it good! They also have a unique aesthetic, at once informal and elegant, authentic and modern; their designs set candlelit brickwork against Thai latticework and street-art murals against historic venues. They insist upon what they call a ‘Complete Dining Experience’: attention to every detail, every customer and every dish – go and experience it for yourself.

Behind Underwood is the Dombrowski siblings, Andrew and Inna. Their father encouraged them to learn to cook together from the early age of 7, and the rest is history. Inna has been working as a Director and Andrew as a Head Chef in England for years. Now, they unite to form the wonderful Underwood. Born of European descent, they say that this is what inspired them to create a restaurant that draws on influences from various countries. Their mains menu is a sight to behold, from their Ribeye Steak with King Oyster Mushrooms, Wild Mushroom Puree, and Jus, to their Pork Duo with Braised Pig Cheek, Slow Cooked Belly, Steam Bun, and Korean Fermented Carrot. All of their culinary creations are immaculately presented too. They put just as much effort into making their dishes aesthetically pleasing to anyone's eyes, as they put into finding the best fresh produce.

Cafe Retro has been serving great food to the people of Bath since 1993, making it one of Bath’s longest standing independent venues - and we think that’s something that’s worth shouting about. Its menu is as classic as its look, with an extensive collection of hearty all-day breakfast options and toasted ciabattas. But the real show-stopper here is the croque monsieur; if you’re unfamiliar with this french delight, it’s basically the toastie of your dreams. Hailed as the ‘best from the West’, this sandwich combines a French favourite with Wiltshire ham and rich cheddar cheese. Trust us when we say that this will really sort you out at lunchtime.
