The Google Maps listing may describe this as a modest Indian vegetarian restaurant but it’s won a plethora of awards, you know.
The family-run joint is Mecca for Cardiff’s veggies and just a stone’s throw from the city centre. The kitchen cooks fresh and authentic Indian dishes and if you want tasty, cheap and filling grub, you’ve come to the right place. There’s also an Indian snack bar, serving up treats like multi-coloured crisps and a variety of homemade traditional sweets, many of which are vegan. The restaurant is un-licenced (although it’s BYOB and there’s a corner shop two doors down) so try a mango lassi or the exotically named disco coffee. Portions are big so you might have to ask for a doggie bag, and the restaurant also does takeaway if you prefer to veg out in the comfort of your own home.
