With a menu brimming with locally sourced food, the Pickled Radish has developed a firm reputation for quality Welsh produce, done well and presented so beautifully, it almost looks too good to good eat. Almost.
Dishes are elegant and classy, yet modern, creative and, at times, somewhat casual; challenging the boundaries of traditional fine dining. Think rhubarb-glazed Usk duck breast with wild garlic and ginger custard, Rosedew Farm lamb pasty with purple potato mash, and cola-braised Glamorgan pork belly.
They say you get what you pay for. With main courses priced from £15-20, The Pickled Radish certainly isn't cheap, but trust is, it's worth it.
