Why we love it?

Frequently named as Cardiff’s best burger joint and we can see why thanks to the emphasis on fast but fresh food using quality local produce. Owners Lu and Dunc offer a bit of cheeky charm with burger names like Bunga Bunga, Spicy Uncle Pedro and Naughty Shepherd – and all can be made with a chicken or veggie/vegan burger if you don’t fancy beef. Wash it down with lashings of cherry bakewell soda or if you’re feeling grown-up, a bottle of local beer. You can get a banging breakfast at the St Mary Street branch (did someone say waffles drizzled in cinnamon butter?) and you’ll often find the team at music events and festivals, as well as the Cardiff City football stadium. Great for lunch with the family or before, during or after a big night out. For super tidy burgers and super quick service, look no further.

Wriggle Highlights
  • In the market for a vegan brunch? Chow down on a breakfast bap: choose from kale fritter or smashed avocado – dreamy
  • Possibly the friendliest burger baristas in Cardiff, no lie
  • Enjoy bottomless fizzy pop at the self-service drinks station

“Like the movie star, our John Wayne special is legendary. This classic burger with a twist is one you won’t forget in a hurry.”
