Tenkaichi is Cardiff’s longest-running Japanese restaurant. Inside, the restaurant design is clean and simple, and the seating takes the form of traditional communal benches.
Expect gohan (rice), hot ramen noodle soups, yaki soba (wok-fried udon noodles), sashimi, sushi, salads and scrumptious sides like tori kara age (deep fried chicken) and gyoza. To match the authentic food menu, the drinks menu boasts Japanese classics like sake, plum wine and an array of imported beers. Probably best to master the chopsticks beforehand.
