Part steak-house, part art gallery, but mainly a steak-house with a real passion for beef. The order of the day is locally-sourced beef and equally locally-sourced cultural references - here you can choose between a multitude of cuts of the choicest beef whilst sat inside a dalek or between giant rugby posts. As for the beef, the owner Steve searched far and wide for the right beef, focussing on the farms of Devon and Cornwall and on the Welsh Borders – eventually settling on Neil Powell's Master Butcher in Abergavenny. They share the same passion and attention to detail; from the welfare of the animals to the maintenance of farmland, leading to the preparation and plating of the food within the restaurant. This is a slick operation and in an impressive space in the city-centre amongst venerable institutions such as Chapel and Thai House. But most importantly, they serve up fantastic steak.
Yummy
Delicious steak. A lovely light lunch.
Another @Wriggle_Cardiff deal this evening : @SteakArtCardiff £12 for a flat iron steak salad & choice of house wine I enjoyed the informal interior & decor, service was friendly & fast A good steak (possibly rare-exterminated by the massive Dalek towering by one of the walls) and the cheese paired nicely with my Rosé
