It's the enthusiasm and excitement of Il Pastificio's chef, Walter, for the dishes he creates that makes this Italian restaurant so good. Walter’s vision is to create an experience that transports diners to his beloved Italy. And he does just that. The menu isn't extensive which means, in true Italian fashion, the focus is on the quality and freshness of the ingredients.
There's an array of interesting antipasti to start, from Funghi Formaggio e Noci (mushroom stuffed with goat's cheese, pears and pecan nuts) to Fritto Misto (deep fried squid and artichoke served with lemon and mayonnaise).
Pasta and bread is made fresh daily and main courses include steak, lamb, king prawns, lobster and sea bass. Far more variety than its name, translated as The Pastalab, may suggest.
Desserts are traditional and saving room for a classic tiramisu, pannacotta or gelato is a must. Bellissimo.
“We bring our customers the real taste and joy of Italy. Every piece of pasta and sheet of lasagna is made lovingly by hand”
Walter Scoppetta - Chef/Owner
