Following on from the massive successes of Arbennig and Dirt, Ember is the perfect fusion of the two, hosting both a 'meat' and a 'vegetarian' menu to choose from. It is led by chef John Cook, who is passionate about the produce he uses, as well as how to showcase them as best he can.
They are now popping up at Milk & Sugar, in the Old Library to serve a lavish and delightful fixed four-course menu, made with fresh, local and seasonal produce and thus, changing every month. You can expect fine and skillfully cooked ingredients, with original and unique flavour combinations.
The large open-space in the Old Library makes it the perfect venue for an enchanting dinner night.
Amazing food!
Amazing food, and Ceri is the best host!
Superb food for vegetarians and omnivores alike
Absolutely sublime! Every one of the four courses was amazing .Not one single bit of food was left on any of our plates. All the elements of each dish were introduced to us in fine detail. All the staff were very friendly and approachable. So impressed! Wouldn’t hesitate to go again.
The food was excellent and the staff attentive. The venue is very large and with a relatively small number of customers it felt rather empty and cavernous. It needed more people there to create an atmosphere to match the food and service.
Amazing food - had read a lot about it and it did not disappoint
