This is Wriggle’s favourite spot for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city centre. This café and yoga studio describes itself as a place ‘where food meets the soul’ and dishes up delicious vegetarian street food. There’s something for all tastes and the menu includes burgers, lasagne and pie and chips – proof that veggie food doesn’t have to be virtuous. The Atma Special is also pretty extraordinary and includes dahl and some addictively moreish deep-fried cauliflower bites. Café Atma is run by Hare Krishnas which certainly lends to its relaxed vibe. It’s also nice to know that the kitchen regularly serves free food to anyone who’s hungry meaning that enjoying the tasty grub here is helping people in need. The perfect excuse to have that extra slice of cake.
