Why we love it

Bwyta Bwyd Bombai (simply translated as "eating Bombai food") is a tapestry of spice, a celebraton of culinary colour and a street-food café in the truest sense. Here, authentic Indian workers-lunches, mini meals and finger foods excite tastebuds; ears tingle as conversation bounces from lofted ceiling to arcade window; imaginations echo eastwards as vibrant Thali platters slide across tabletops, crisp dosas are teased apart and cutlery is all but forgotten.

In the heart of one of Cardiff's most beautiful indie arcades, 3Bs (as it's known to the locals) brings the sort of authentic Bombay soul that owners Sakshi and Indraneel missed so much when they first arrived in Cardiff. Although "Bombay" officially became "Mumbai" in 1995, the food at 3B's is just as you'd have found it a couple of decades ago on the subcontinent: utterly delicious, properly comforting, able to satisfy even the most demanding of palettes (or rushed of lunch breaks!) and made with the very best local ingredients or passionately sourced spices.

With service with a smile and prices that'll bring a genuine smile to your face. We're sure that you'll be back to Bwyta Bwyd Bombai before you know it.

Wriggle Highlights

  • The ice-cool mango lassi (sweet, fruity and packed with goodness) is bang-on
  • Sakshi's Thali is one of the best we've tried
  • Grab a seat in the Arcade thoroughfare to soak up the indie atmosphere
