Set in the leafy Gorsedd Gardens, Brodies is an unassuming hideaway that lets its produce (and beautiful surroundings) do the talking. If the flecks of light emanating from its roof-mounted fairground bulbs don't grab your attention, Brodies' vintage style will. Decked out in rich blue wooden panelling, bordered by period white trim and curtailed by a beautifully-set leaden roof, this kiosk is the park's resident Victorian gent - a truly unique addition to the city's food and drink community.
With almost everything they serve being sourced from in and around Cardiff, this caffeine kiosk focusses on making fine hot drinks, serving delectable baked fancies and satisfying the nearby uni and city hall crowd's savoury lunch cravings. They're focussed on sustainability, too, so have made a conscious effort to only use compostable cups and lids. It's good to know that a Brodies Coffee isn't only better tasting than a chain, it's also far better for the planet.
Valley roasted beans from Coaltown and luxurious hot chocolate warm central Cardiff's cockles, and Ian and Danni's resolutely sunny service keeps the regulars coming back for more. Grab your lunch or snack, take a garden seat under the leafy bows and let the world go by for a few minutes.
Always excellent friendly service and great quality drinks, you can tell they really care.
This is a great place to get a coffee. The drinks and cakes are superb, the setting is lovely and the staff are always welcoming
Friendly staff, good coffee
Brodie’s is brilliant. There isn’t much else to say. Superb coffee made by friendly and chatty staff, well worth the short walk from the university
