Nestled in the leafy, affluent suburbs of Pontcanna, Brød is Cardiff’s first ever Danish bakery and is owned by Betina Skovbro, a Danish baker who moved to Wales in 1998. Expect freshly baked bread, a tempting selection of sweet and savoury pastries and cakes handcrafted using traditional Danish techniques, homemade veggie soup of the day and freshly brewed tea or coffee. Popular with mummy types, Brød is the perfect place for a cuppa and a catch-up. If you’re short on time, pick up a pastry to devour later on at home.
