With its futuristic branding and liberal use of fluorescent colours, Bangkok Café is just a little bit cooler than your average Thai restaurant. And with a menu which goes beyond the obvious, Bangkok Café is just that little bit more interesting too. As a mainstay of Cowbridge Road East, they’ve been doing their thing for far longer than most of the street's other world-food restaurants. For starters check out the seriously addictive spicy beef salad or the garlic thwacked homemade sausages, a regional specialty of North East Thailand. But it’s with the mains where Bangkok Café comes into its own, as each dish is served with a number of sides to provide balance to the meal. Take the Moo Yang pork two ways, a seared marinated pork chop served with a spiced pork salad and sticky rice.
