With its futuristic branding and liberal use of fluorescent colours, Bangkok Café is just a little bit cooler than your average Thai restaurant. And with a menu which goes beyond the obvious, Bangkok Café is just that little bit more interesting too. As a mainstay of Cowbridge Road East, they’ve been doing their thing for far longer than most of the street's other world-food restaurants. For starters check out the seriously addictive spicy beef salad or the garlic thwacked homemade sausages, a regional specialty of North East Thailand. But it’s with the mains where Bangkok Café comes into its own, as each dish is served with a number of sides to provide balance to the meal. Take the Moo Yang pork two ways, a seared marinated pork chop served with a spiced pork salad and sticky rice.
Really nice food
Bright flavours and quick service. Enjoyable meal.
My lamb and potato curry was delicious and perfectly cooked. My fellow diner didn’t like lager and they offered her wine instead which was a lovely touch. We didn’t have to wait long for the food either! Can’t fault it!
Delicious, Fresh, Authentic Thai food
Nice authentic Thai food, busy tonight an, tricky to get a glass of water though...
