In Amesoeur owner Donna Lee has created a place after her own heart - a welcoming space for people to socialise, catch-up and enjoy great food.
Sharing is very much the order of the day here. The menu comprises over 40 "Petits Plats" - which are similar to traditional Small Plates but served on a shared slab in more of a "Français with a British grazing" twist – in keeping with the name of the establishment (Amesoeur means "Soulmate" in French). All tastes are catered for, and you're encouraged to choose "From the Field", "From the Sea", or "From the Farm". Highlights such as Garlic King Prawns, Panfried Halloumi and Fried Whitebait – which are all reasonably priced at £4 or under – are well worth sampling.
With Donna's clear eye for design, Amesoeur is a very handy addition to the Crwys Road - perfect for wiling away a few hours over a glass of wine or two and some light Tapas (French-style, mind) or perhaps a date-night with your Amesoeur. Charmant.
Left feeling very content. Service was excellent. Enjoyed the atmosphere and very good food. Plenty to choose from.
Really good food and service. Very quiet.
