Want to get the measure of 29 Park Place? Well, it feels a bit like going round your mate's house as a kid. As head Park Place Ranger, Jon Saunders, quips, it's a place where "you can feel like you're allowed to eat what you like, do what you like, and never want to go home" (presumably to chores, homework and early bedtimes). If it was for that nostalgic special formula and nothing else, we at Wriggle would still love it.
29 Park Place opened around 2 years ago and has quickly established itself as a reliable, quirky and perennially popular choice for professionals, students and everybody in between. At all times and during all seasons. Whether you plump for a hearty breakfast on a cold winter's morning or choose to chomp down on one of their deeply beloved self-titled burgers (in the heated garden on a summer's evening, perhaps?) you will be blown away by their commitment to truly tasty and affordable grub.
It's a welcome study or remote working retreat by day (while the coffee is flowing), its nice-and-buzzy later in the evening (the staff pride themselves on their imaginative bar snacks and delicious cocktails for good reason) and there's always an excited huddle of people flitting between the tables ... table football, table tennis and, of course, computer game tables. We'll see you there for a nibble, a drink and some multiplayer MarioKart.
